Meta is also going to integrate the ActivityPub standard, which will allow Threads to talk to other decentralized platforms such as Mastodon; this would pave the way for open social networking.

Threads upholds Instagram’s content moderation rules, and will hopefully lead to a more wholesome and spam-free environment.
